Superman: Henry Cavill
This is merely a formality at this point as Henry is already Superman in the upcoming reboot Man of Steel that is set to kickoff DC's entire movie universe. Henry definitely seems to embody the strength, both physical and otherwise, I've always associated with the Last Son of Krypton.
The Flash: Patrick Wilson
Now a veteran actor, Patrick Wilson has gone from being a creepy pedophile in Hard Candy, a proper superhero in The Watchmen, to a paranormal investigator in the upcoming film The Conjuring. He's shown his range and his chops and he looks the part as well. I think Patrick Wilson would be perfect as the fastest man alive. My only issue is the guy is 40 and it may be better to cast someone younger in the role so we can hopefully get a few more films out of them.
Green Lantern: Ryan Reynolds
Hear me out! I know that the first Green Lantern film was not the best, but I do not believe it was Reynolds' fault. The writing and the direction were abysmal, but Ryan clearly had a passion for the role and we know he's not a bad actor. I believe given the right writer (David Goyer?) and the right director (hell, why not Zack Snyder?), Reynolds' Hal Jordan could continue on and perhaps redeem the franchise. Plus I still wanna see a properly evil Sinestro played by Mark Strong.
Wonder Woman: Gina Carano
Wonder Woman is a badass. Not many people can kick Superman's teeth in, but Princess Diana has. It stands to reason that you need to get someone to play her who can believably lay a beat down on some bad guys. Gina Carano beats people for a living. Or she did until she jumped into the acting arena with a very underrated film called Haywire. Bottom line, she fits the bill. Beautiful, kickass, and a better actress day by day. Also, she's dating Mr. Henry Cavill in real life so she's already got connections with DC!
Cyborg: Chadwick Boseman
This one is almost a no-brainer. Boseman is on fire right now, having just pulled off a critically acclaimed performance as Jackie Robinson in 42. Boseman embodies strength but also a sort of innocence that Victor Stone shows, at least in the New 52 Justice League books.
Martian Manhunter: Idris Elba
Who knows if our favorite Martian will appear, but if so, another no-brainer for me is Idris Elba. Elba is a seasoned, mature actor who reminds me so much of how MM is portrayed in the comics. Also, he has a voice that immediately invokes authority but also a gentleness. Any film would do well to have Idris Elba involved, especially the Justice League.
Batman: Bradley Cooper
Another actor that has shown incredible range, going from the Hangover to Silver Linings and back again. Cooper has the cockiness to pull off Bruce Wayne but also an emotional depth to take on the Dark Knight. Besides, we haven't really seem a lot of action from Cooper and I think it's time to change that.
As these lists usually show, no one agrees on these things. So let me know where I went wrong in the comments below!
