Happy Friday folks! We made it. It was a long, hard journey but somehow the weekend is here. Along the way this week we picked up some movie news! So here are a few things you may have missed.
Of course, more has come out about the (hopefully) upcoming Justice League film. This time, it actually sounds credible. In a recent interview issue, Empire magazine cited sources at Warner Bros., stating that if Man of Steel is a success, Zack Snyder will be asked to direct a Justice League film. Meanwhile, David Goyer, the writer for Man of Steel as well as the Dark Knight films, craftily dodged questions about whether he would be interested in writing a Justice League script. It would seem Superman is going to be single handily responsible for the life or death of the DC cinematic universe. Here's hoping Zack Snyder has built us a Man of Steel who can handle it.
Remember when Scream was awesome? You know, back in 1996? Well those memories are about to be destroyed (beyond what the sequels accomplished). MTV (still stands for Music Television right?) has decided to bring a small screen version of the horror film to its network, hoping to revive the franchise. You know, just like they revived the Teen Wolf franchise. We needed that.
With Marvel kicking off Phase 2 of their movie universe in the coming weeks, news has come that Marvel has regained the rights to Daredevil, the blind superhero that most people associate with the 2003 Ben Affleck movie. This could possibly give Marvel yet another face to add to the Avengers roster, as reports are that they are looking to expand the Avengers going into Phase 3. First thing's first, just give us a good Daredevil movie, sans Affleck.
