A couple of months ago, we got a very short glimpse at Jason Bourne but now we've been blessed with a full trailer. This film represents Matt Damon's return to the blockbuster franchise that took him from that guy from Good Will Hunting to a certified action star. Take a gander at the trailer below.
I'm really liking this trailer. Enough time has passed since the original three films that there's a bit of nostalgia at play here. Seeing Bourne himself back in the brutal, hand-to-hand action and with Julia Stiles back at his side brings me right back to 2002. With that said, I was hoping to see a little more of something different; a glimpse of something the character hasn't shown us before. But it is still early on in the marketing so there's plenty of time for Universal to wow us with something new.

Trailer Critic: Ben-Hur
Hi everyone and welcome to another
edition of Trailer Critic. Today, we're taking a look at the
upcoming remake of a classic: Ben-Hur.
With the
recent revitalization of ancient Roman era movies, it would make sense to
retell one of the most famous stories ever to grace the silver screen. With
that being said, I have yet to watch the original Ben-Hur from
1959. But that's okay because when I watched this, I can make an objective
opinion on it without comparing it to the original.
So the
trailer brings thoughts of Gladiator, Pompeii, and
even the latest edition to this era: Risen.
Which, to be honest, isn't a bad thing, just isn't an original thing. I've
tried to enjoy the remakes of late, but there's just something missing from
them that you get from the originals.
Ben-Hur looks good - looks fantastic if I'm honest, so I only hope
that the storytelling is on par with not only the cinematography, but can
hearken back to the original Ben-Hur. If it can do all that, I'll
be well impressed. Expect the new Ben-Hur in theaters August
12th, 2016.

Trailer Critic: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
A mere months after Star Wars made it's triumphant return to the big screen with The Force Awakens, Disney has given us a glimpse at our next journey to a certain far away galaxy with a teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars story. Rogue One is set before the events of Episode 4 a.ka. the original Star Wars movie and follows a group of misfits tasked with stealing the plans for the greatest weapon ever built: the Deathstar. Check out the trailer below.
In a word, this trailer is perfect. The glimpses into Felicity Jones' performance as Jyn Erso hint at yet another badass protagonist. The trailer's music has hints of familiar Star Wars themes, but is instantly unique; mirroring what the movie itself promises to be. It introduces us to the basic story but doesn't spoil too much. Of course, a perfect trailer doesn't necessarily mean a good movie, but it's a great start!
What did you think about the trailer and how psyched are you that the release date for Rogue One is December 16, 2016; only eight months away!

Trailer Critic: The BFG
Disney and director Steven Spielberg have given us a full glimpse into their upcoming film The BFG, an adaptation of an apparently beloved children's book I missed out on. Take a look at the trailer below and stick around for my thoughts.
Being unfamiliar with the source material, all I can judge the trailer on is how much it piques my interest for this movie and my interest has gone from 0% to 100% interested. First off, the visuals look amazing; but going deeper, I am a sucker for movies about outcast kids who are maybe a little lonely. The BFG hearkens back to movies like E.T. and The Iron Giant which is high praise.
The BFG is set to release on July 1 and stars Rebecca Hall, Mark Rylance and Bill Harder among many others.

Trailer Critic - The Legend of Tarzan
Hey guys and welcome to another edition of Trailer Critic! Today, we're swinging through the trees and chillin' with some gorillas in the teaser trailer for The Legend of Tarzan!
There's quite a bit going on in this teaser, if you can really even call it that. I mean, I think this trailer did the job for me, introducing me to the characters, setting the stage, and giving me just enough to want more. I am a bit worried about this, primarily because so many people know the story of Tarzan, even if they haven't seen the animated movie. I'm also worried that this will be compared to movies like the new Planet of the Apes franchise, and the 2005 King Kong. But maybe the film will surprise me when it hits theaters July 1st, 2016.
What did you think of the teaser? Let us know in the comments below!

Trailer Critic - Pee Wee's Big Holiday
Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Trailer Critic! So sneak in your boxed candy that you got from the dollar store, and let's take a look at:
Pee Wee's Big Holiday
Man oh man, Paul Reubens is back baby! If you were ever a fan of Pee-Wee Herman, then you're probably texting all the people you know that he's back, and on Netflix! The antics and campy nature of the "original" Pee-Wee Herman looks like it's back, and just as kooky as ever. Considering the last, big Pee-Wee Herman featured film was in the 80's, I'm sure there will be a cult following, glued to their TV's come March 18, 2016.
We wanna hear from you! What did you think of the trailer? Leave your comments below and enjoy your holiday!

Trailer Critic - Captain America: Civil War
Are you one of those people that enjoys watching movie trailers? Do you spend hours scouring YouTube, binging on the up-and-coming? Or make a point to get to the theater at least thirty minutes before the movie starts, just to watch them? Well, we here at The Final Cut completely understand and totally won't judge you. So grab your popcorn and hold tight, because here's a look at:
Captain America: Civil War
Talk about a fight for the ages! Captain America, pitted against his friend, his colleague, Iron Man. But what brings these two giants of the big screen to each other's throats? It's still a mystery, but we can see that it might have something to do with Bucky's return. And can we talk about Black Panther and Ant Man joining in this epic showdown? The biggest question here is, just how far is either party willing to go to "win"? I guess we'll just have to wait to find out.
How'd you feel about the trailer? Let us know in the comments below! And we'll see you at Captain America: Civil War on May 6th, 2016.

The Equalizer - a cult classic comes to the big screen
Hi everybody, Dave here with a first look at: "The Equalizer" - starring Denzel Washington.
Synopsis: Denzel Washington plays a former black ops commando who faked his death for a quiet life in Boston. He comes out of his retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloƫ Grace Moretz), and finds himself face to face with Russian gangsters.
I never followed the TV series this is apparently based on, but I enjoy a good Denzel Washington movie and this one looks like it's not going to disappoint. I see elements of "Training Day," "Book of Eli," and "Man on Fire" all rolled into this action-packed trailer. Cult classic TV show aside, ask yourself, what's not to like about Denzel kicking butt and taking names?
