Has this week been as crazy for you guys as it has been for me? Geez. Anyway, the weekend is finally on the horizon and we can look forward to a slew of new releases at our local cinemas. So to help you plan your movie night out, here's what's opening this week.
Fast & Furious 6
That's right. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and the whole gang are back for another installment of the street racing turned action heist franchise. This franchise was showing its age until the 2011 installment, Fast Five, reinvigorated it and took it in a new direction. Now number 6 hits theaters this weekend with a seventh already announced for 2014.
Epic
Okay so when I watch the trailer for Epic, all I can think of is Honey I Shrunk the Kids meets Narnia. From BlueSky Studios (owned by 20th Century Fox), this kid friendly romp through the jungle looks pretty much like you would expect. If you have been wanting to take the kids to the movies but couldn't find something appropriate amid the summer blockbusters, you will probably welcome this movie.
Hangover III
After striking gold with the first film, the Wolfpack's second outing failed big-time. But now they're back and with every trailer and tv spot, they want us to know this is NOT just a rehash of the first one like number 2 was. Also, Hangover III promises to be the "Conclusion of the Hangover trilogy"); but if it makes a bunch of cash, I promise you will see these boys again.
