Dusty's Most Anticipated Movies of 2013

With the first few months of the year behind us, we are now safely past all of the crappy movies that are usually dumped on us from January to March. Now we can look ahead at the rest of 2013 and honestly it's looking good. Below are my top 5 most anticipated movies I'm looking forward to this year:
5. This Is The End
There's something about movies in which actors play themselves that really catches my interest. However, these things can go right or very wrong. With the release of a full-length red band trailer yesterday, however, This Is The End looks hilarious.
Release Date: June 14th
4. Anchorman: The Legend Continues
It's been a long time since 2004, the year Anchorman catapulted Will Ferrell to comedy superstar status. Sadly, his next several attempts (I'm looking at you Semi-Pro) were duds. But with a few solid successes recently, and a returning cast of co-stars that have all experienced their own successes since the last time, Ferrell is well positioned to make Rob Burgundy kind of a big deal once again.
Release Date: December 20th
3. Iron Man 3
The Avengers movie made summer 2012 a record breaking one. But where can Marvel/Disney take this first of its kind mega-franchise from here? Iron Man 3 seeks to answer that in a way that is perhaps surprising: back down to earth. The next Iron Man film represents Marvel's first installment of Phase 2 of their cinematic universe. It's hard not to anticipate what's on store for IM3 and beyond.
Release Date: May 3rd
2. Ender's Game
In 1985, author Orson Scott Card published Ender's Game; a novel about a young boy chosen to undergo training to help fight back against a recent alien attack on earth. Finally, technology has caught up to this amazing story enough that a feature film is set to be released this year. Starting Asa Butterfield (Hugo), Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3) and Harrison Ford, Ender's Game has epic space odyssey written all over it.
Release Date: November 1st
1. Man of Steel
Superman has had a rough time at the box office for a couple of decades now. With failed productions such as the Nicholas Cage vehicle Superman Lives to Bryan Singers more recent flop Superman Returns, the Man of Steel can't catch a break. But while on break from writing The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan and David Goyer came up with an idea to reboot Superman. Sand because Warner Bros and DC trust these two completely after all the money The Dark Knight films made, they picked a director (Zack Snyder) and voila! Superman is on his way back. Promising a more grounded, real world approach, Man of Steel is getting extremely favorable reviews from early screenings.
Release Date: June 14th
So that's what I'm looking forward to! What movies have you marked on your calendar? Comment below!
