Insidious: Chapter 2 Trailer
In 2010, director James Wan gave us Insidious, a spookier than average haunted house horror film. It was a pretty big hit so, as expected, Insidious 2 has been green lit and filmed. This week, we got our first peek at the second installment. Check it out but make sure the lights are on!
Thanks to Chris Nolan, We're Getting More Friday the 13th
Warner Bros. has really enjoyed all the money Christopher Nolan has made them over the years. So when it came out that he had begun work on a new sci-fi film over at Paramount, understandably they were a little jealous. Don't feel too bad for them, though, because thanks to a deal they've struck with Paramount, they will now get a piece of that pie. What did it cost them? The rights to Friday the 13th (and South Park, but really...who cares?). Warner Bros. traded the horror franchise with the condition that Paramount has to do something with it within five years or the rights revert back to WB. So while he's not directly involved, it seems we can thank Christopher Nolan for an upcoming FT13 sequel.
Man of Steel Sales Outpacing All Other Summer Movies
According to Fandango, the advanced ticket sales for next week's wildly anticipated release Man of Steel have exceeded those of all previous summer movies at this time before they opened. And I would be a terrible DC fan-boy if I failed to mention that this includes Marvel's Iron Man 3. Some folks are estimating that Man of Steel may even break $100 Million in its opening weekend! Time will tell, but I for one am pulling for it.
What else happened that caught your attention this week? Comment below! And thanks for not being too hard on me for missing my deadline!
